After 10 years living and performing in Dubai, during which time she and her band headlined probably the biggest gig in the annual Dubai calendar, four years in a row – to over 10,000 people on each occasion – London, East End-bred ex-Met police officer, singer/songwriter/musician Danielle Morgan has returned to the UK excited to bring more of her music to her many fans across the world, with over 45,000 Twitter followers and 50,000 streams on Indiesound.com. Those who have seen her live write about how they are influenced and uplifted by Danielle’s universal themes and memorable melodies.
Danielle began honing her skills at a young age, and it was her path to enter the world famous BRIT School in London and leave as one of the original graduates. Now, having composed over 50 original songs and works with co-writer John Merrigan, and with highly credited Los Angeles Producer, TheRealJonSmith (Luna Halo,4-time Grammy winner Kevin Max, etc).
Recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios, Danielle released her acclaimed debut EP, ‘The Session’ in June 2016 to critical acclaim, with featured track, ‘No Trace Of You’ gaining extensive airplay. Clearly, Danielle and the band thoroughly enjoyed the Abbey Road experience:”Working with the RealJonSmith brought into play his skills as a great musician, his direction, and boundless energy to help us find the big, produced sound to evolve our style and vision for the music. Danielle’s compositions are diverse in topic & eclectic in mood. She writes about her life experiences that everyone can relate to and interpret for themselves. Her vocals are compelling, uniquely her own. Those artists she admires are equally eclectic, but intriguing, such as - The Foundations, Adele, The Killers, Thin Lizzy, Pink and Al Green – to name but a few over the years. On stage, vocalist/pianist Danielle (who sang in a gospel choir) is at her natural best; passionate and powerful in full flight with her amazing band.
