Formed in 1981, Home Service, the ground-breaking, vibrant and quintessentially English 8-piece Rock-Folk band made a dramatic and award-winning return to prominence in 2011 with a best-selling live album and a string of major festival appearances.

Now a refreshed line-up has been announced, featuring the great musician John Kirkpatrick (Albion Band, Richard Thompson, Brass Monkey, Steeleye Span and BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Musician of the Year 2010) as front man, the band’s enthusiasm for playing live again is irrepressible.

To herald this exciting era, a new album ‘A New Ground’ is now available - all new recordings of new material – set alight by their distinctively mighty brass sound.

“The brass play like the Devil’s own pit-band, the rhythm section lay down an immovable foundation and Graeme Taylor’s guitar can strip paint” – R2
